Our vision is to have a high-quality Computing curriculum to inspire young people and help to develop Computing knowledge, computational thinking skills, resilience and creativity to become leaders, to change the world, shape the future and change their lives for the better.

All students, no matter what their background or needs, will develop their Computing knowledge, computational thinking skills, which involves logical reasoning, problem solving skills and resilience, all vital transferable skills. Students will develop their creativity as well as their ability to develop creative solutions to real world problems and critique solutions. Our young people will utilise these skills effectively in, future education, leisure time and their chosen careers. Therefore, we will give students an understanding of the way business works by solving real world problems, including personal financial planning, legal, ethical and environmental issues. We will prepare our young people for job roles that do not exist yet.  Students will understand how to stay safe online through regular revisiting of this topic.

Computing Students will develop a wide range of Computer Science, IT and Digital Literacy knowledge and skills, to flourish on their future career paths. In a world suffused by computation it is essential all students understand computing for their future.

 In the Computing Department we strive to inspire our students to BELIEVE in their ability to engage with technology safely and effectively. To enable them to ACHIEVE their potential in Computing we aim to develop young people with excellent Computing knowledge and Digital Literacy skills, which will help them SUCCEED in their further education, training and future career choices.
