Look at the specification
Know what you will be tested on in each paper
Look at the types of questions that will come up
[2] DO PRACTICE QUESTIONS
As many as you can
Use a mark scheme
Make corrections and do them again
[3] KNOW HOW TO SCORE MARKS
For example
In Maths & Science - show your working
In History - use dates and specific examples
In Science - check the units
In English check your SPaG
[4] AVOID MISTAKES
Check the slide on the right... it has lots of useful information about how to avoid simple mistakes in your exams....
[5] COMMAND WORDS
Read the question carefully
Look at the COMMAND WORD - it will tell you what to do

[6] ESSAY SKILLS
Take time to plan your answer
Write well to get maximum marks - think SPaG
Answer the question!
Use proper English (not informal words)
Link phrases together with "however..." "therefore..." "so that..." "alternatively..." "this suggests..." "furthermore..."
